Andrew & Abby : Married

Dear internet friends,

It’s hard to know where to begin on this one. I had been looking forward to shooting this wedding from the first time I talked with Andrew & Abby on the phone. While I didn’t personally know either of them, Andrew is also a photographer and we have quite a few mutual friends. When they started telling me about the wedding they were planning, I knew it was going to be special. For starters, the wedding was in Abby’s hometown which is a quaint little lake community in Northwest Ontario, in a meadow in the woods on her parents property. Small planes and long drives through the wilderness? Yes please. Abby shared it had always been her dream to get married in that back field and how thrilled they both were that it was becoming a reality. They described their wedding as rustic and DIY but also very classy. This is going to be great, I thought. I wasn’t disappointed. Their day was not only beautiful to look at, but everyone felt special to be there. They treated everyone as part of the family. Laughing and celebrating the whole time.

It’s hard not to smile looking through these images. Abby’s smile is contagious and these two could not look more happy to be married if they tried.

Congratulations you guys. I would shoot your wedding every weekend if I could.
